Plasmodium falciparum glutamate dehydrogenase a is dispensable and not a drug target during erythrocytic development

The parasite lines were cultured for 32 h with medium containing 2 mM U-[¹³C] glutamine and metabolites extracted and analysed by LC-MS. The percentage of metabolite which has [¹³C] incorporated is shown. The values are the mean ± S.D. of three independent experiments, which were done in triplicate.
