The expected heterozygosity H e is shown for each microsatellite in the resistant populations of the years 1995/96 (diamonds), 2002 (squares) and 2005-07 (triangles). On the x-axis the distance [kb] from the pfcrt locus is given. During all time periods H e increased with increasing distance from the pfcrt locus but was higher at the centromeric microsatellites compared to the telomeric microsatellites.
