  1. The nested PCR test was used as a reference test. Test 1 and Test 2 are specific to Plasmodium falciparum (Pf). Test 3 is a multiplex test designed to detect both Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax (Pv). 68 parasite negative samples were identified as negative by all the tests
