Susceptibility to infection of C57BL/6 mice. (A) Time-course parasitaemia and (B) survival of P. berghei K173, NK65 and ANKAΔpm4 in C57BL/6 non-pregnant mice. Animals were infected i.p. with 106 IE. Parasitaemia of DRAQ-5 labelled samples was followed by FACS. In (B) survival curves were compared using the Log-Rank (Mantel-Cox) test. Statistical significance results were p<0.01 when comparing K173 vs NK65 or ANKAΔpm4; p<0.05 when comparing NK65 to ANKAΔpm4.
