  1. Selected strains were incubated with soluble CSA (100 μg/mL) or adhesion medium for 30 min before the cytoadherence assay. The number of adhered IEs to 500 nuclei was quantified, and the inhibition percentage of adherence was estimated. The data represent the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments performed in duplicate (n = 6), t-student for comparison of control vs CSA treatment.
