Enzymatic activity of native and recombinant PfUDGs with32P-labelled single stranded oligo-U. Lane 1, the negative control reaction lacking PfUDGs; lanes 2, 4, and 6, the reactions without hot alkaline treatment (AP lyase activity assay) were performed by native , recombinant PfUDG and E. coli UDG respectively; lanes 3, 5, and 7, the reactions with hot alkaline treatment (glycosylase activity assay) were performed by native and recombinant PfUDG and E. coli UDG respectively.
