- Each temperature treatment and insecticide concentration were typically replicated four times, approximately 25 mosquitoes per replicate. In the permethrin experiment, mosquitoes escaped and replicates were dropped in two cases (group 18–26, 0.25 and 0.75%). Some treatment groups exposed to malathion or malathion controls were additionally replicated in time (26–18 and 26–26: 0, 0.25 and 0.5%; 18–26: 0%).
