Parasitaemia and survival profiles of P. berghei ANKA-infected BALB/c mice. (A) Four mice per group were infected with P. berghei ANKA, and were not treated (PbN) or treated with λ-carrageenan (PbCGN). The parasitaemia in the blood microvessels is shown for each animal per group (n = 4). λ-carrageenan treatment (25 mg/kg) did not inhibit the growth of P. berghei ANKA in vivo using the four-day suppressive test.
