The ledges forming beds are dug down to a depth of 9 inches and the trench for feet is dug down to a depth of 18 inches (published with permission of the Royal army Medical Corps Journal), [11]. (C) Modified Bivouac net supplied to British soldiers in Macedonia in 1918. The net is intended for two men and is covered by the two bivouac sheets.
