  1. Using χ2 analysis, relationships between infecting PfMSP6 allele and village of residence were assessed; statistically significant associations are indicated with an asterisk. Puerto Almendra showed a statistically significant increase in K1 infections (>2-fold) compared to other villages. Llanchama showed a statistically significant decrease in K1 infections (>14-fold) compared to other villages.
