  1. Two field isolates collected from Rourkela and Jagdalpur demonstrated highest total gametocytaemia and were deemed suitable for drug screening experiments. Total G: % of gametocytes out of total erythrocytes represented as Mean ± SD, as a result of 6 separate induction experiments. Out of total gametocytes, percentage of stage I–III categorized as Early G (Mean ± SD) and percentage of stage IV, V categorized as Late G (Mean ± SD). Percentage gametocytaemia calculations are per 5000 RBCs
