RO33-like alleles and their frequencies. Overall, 330 RO33-like alleles were determined by assembly of msp1 block 2 short read sequences. There were six non-synonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms among these alleles, with nine different encoded amino acid sequences. Polymorphisms in the amino acid sequences are highlighted and the divergent frequencies are shown in the pie charts for Asia (left) and Africa (right)
