After drug removal, parasites were first incubated for 22 h with hypoxanthine-free medium, and then for 24 h with medium containing [3H]hypoxanthine. After this [3H]hypoxanthine incorporation period, the assays were terminated by freezing the plates at − 20 °C. At least three biological replicates were performed in each case
