Results of the Nested PCR for Pfhrp2/3; the presence of the amplification fragment indicates the presence of the gene: figure (a), lines 1/2/3/4/5 (± 814 bp for Pfhrp2) and figure (b) lines 1/2 (± 719 bp for Pfhrp3). When the fragments do not appear indicate that deletion exists; fragments are sequenced to confirm that they correspond to the pfhrp2/3 genes
