Anti-parasite activity in sera from study participants reaches saturation at a low testing concentration. Individual data plot represents in vitro growth inhibition of P. falciparum parasites (3D7) in the presence of 10% or 1% (v/v) serum concentration from immune patients. Circles indicate results for each study participant (n = 105). A serum pool consistent of six non-immune volunteers (indicated by blue line) was tested to determine background activity of the GIA assay. Median and 95% confidence interval are indicated for each experimental conditions
