For competition measurements of the antibodies generated by phage display among themselves as well as to other described antibodies, the AMA1-antigen DiCo3 was captured on a surface coated with anti-AMA1 antibody 1D7. First the saturating antibody was injected (180 s, 30 µL/min). If there was no binding of the subsequently injected competing antibody, binding competition was assumed. Antibodies were tested against all other available AMA1-antibodies pairwise.
