Mean random blood sugar (RBS) levels relative to nutritional anthropometry at recruitment, at 1st and at 2nd post-intervention screenings. At recruitment, malnourished children (WAZ < − 2), stunted children (HAZ < − 2) and wasted children (WHZ < − 2) had a relatively lower random blood sugar level than well-nourished (WAZ − 2 to + 2, HAZ − 2 to + 2 and WHZ − 2 to + 2) and obese (WAZ > + 2) children. Overall, there was a decline in random blood sugar throughout the study
