CD19 + CD20 + cells were measured using flow cytometry at day 10 of co-cultures. The proportion of atypical memory B-cells (CD27-FCRL4 +) cells was higher in the presence of parasites with a less prominent effect when Transwells were used. Mean of 3–5 experiments. Error bars show SEM. When all groups were compared to each other, there was a significant difference (p < 0.0001)
