An identical stamp design to that shown for Senegal was used for the following African countries: Central African Republic, Mali, Republic of Congo, Niger, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Comores Islands, Mauritania, French Somalia, Dahomey, Malagasy, French Cameroun, Upper Volta. These African issues were the first malaria-related stamps to be issued by any African Nation.
