  1. The performance of the Standard Diagnostic Malaria AG Pf HRP2/pLDH rapid diagnostic test (RDT) compared to microscopy (reference method) was as follows: sensitivity, 98.9%; specificity, 91.8%; positive predictive value, 81.4%; and negative predictive value, 99.6%. The kappa coefficient was 0.86, which corresponds to an “almost perfect agreement” between the two diagnostic methods, according to the classification proposed by Landis and Koch [29]
