GIS supervisors divided the area into 1 km2 grid cells (yellow lines demarcate grid) and enumerators digitized structures within each grid cell by tracing a polygon (red color) around the outline of the roof of each structure. As an example of the process, all structures within the grid cell in the middle of the figure had been digitized; structures in all other cells had not yet been digitized.
