Annual distribution of PvMSP-1 42 haplotypes during the study period. The 149 PvMSP-142 sequences from Korean isolates were analysed by year of collection. Only Belem type haplotypes of PvMSP-142 were identified during 1999–2000. Recombinant types began to be identified in 2001, and both Belem-type and recombinant type haplotypes were identified thereafter.
