Table 2 The gametocyte rate – gametogenesis – and gametocyte longevity (gametocytogenesis) in malaria infections caused by wild-type parasites and parasites with different number of dhfr/dhps mutations (MOM 1 – 5). The differences in gametogenesis between parasites with different MOM were estimated by calculation of the Odd ratios with reference to MOM5.
