Parasitaemia inhibition and survival of mice treated with different doses of 21A. Five BALB/c mice per group were infected with P. berghei ANKA. The mice were treated with three daily doses of 100, 75, 50 or 25 mg/kg of 21A starting at day-3 post infection. The positive and negative control mice were given three daily doses of 30 mg/kg chloroquine and 10% DMSO, respectively. a Per cent parasitaemia. The graph is the mean parasitaemia and standard error of the mean (SEM) of five mice in a group, and b Kaplan–Meier survival plot of mice treated with different doses of 21A and controls. Asterisk indicates a statistically significant difference between the drug treated mice and the vehicle control group (DMSO)
