SDS-PAGE and Coomassie staining of purified PvG6PD. The enzyme was heterologously overexpressed in E. coli M15 cells containing pRAREII. The protein containing an N-terminal 6×His-tag (71.9 kDa) was purified via Ni–NTA affinity chromatography, followed by size exclusion chromatography. The final purity of PvG6PD was checked via SDS-PAGE (12% acrylamide). Left: unstained protein molecular weight marker (Thermo Scientific, Dreieich, Germany)
