Of the 648 P. falciparum samples collected during 2016 in Haiti for this study, 32 (4.9%) were excluded for 5 or more missing SNP calls. Of the remaining 616 samples, 42 (6.8%) were polygenomic (multiple distinct genomes, defined as the presence of both bi-allelic alleles at two or more positions in the SNP barcode). From the remaining 565 monogenomic (single distinct genome) samples, 462 with complete data for the 21 most informative SNPs were included in the subsequent analyses
